Making long-term investments
January 27th, 2009 by Anju
Watching the stock markets lately is a difficult preoccupation, as many watch years of hard earned work evaporate in lost stock value. Many investors now face the hard decision of selling out now and taking their losses, or sticking through it and riding out the storm.
Many people make similar decisions when in a relationship. If things aren’t going well, it can feel as though there’s no hope things will change, and it’s time to get out. However, speaking with any couple who has been married over 5 years, and you’re likely to hear a story of when their relationship was in jeopardy, and they found a way to work through it. Of course, that doesn’t mean every relationship should last. So, how do you know what will last and what won’t? Well, like many stockbrokers right now, you don’t have any guarantees either way. It comes down to the commitment each person has to make the relationship better. Any relationship can be improved with this dedication, and of course any relationship can be troubled if complacency takes over. Keep that relationship alive and see your investment flourish!
