Keep the spirit alive

It seems inevitable in some relationships – the spark fades, or the resentments build, or it just isn’t what it used to be anymore. Most people who end up in affairs are more likely to be bored than dissatisfied with their partner overall. They typically state that they were looking for excitement, or to feel noticed and appreciated again.
So, by all means, do what you can to avoid this situation! That means both people in the relationship need to recognize that they have to keep it interesting and fun to be together. Or, to put it another way, act like you’re still sweethearts, just getting to know each other. Flirt with each other, or leave notes, or be seductive, or simply schedule time where you and your partner are the most important and only priorities. Rekindling the behaviors that got you together in the first place can be the secret for long lasting relationships.
As always, having fun and communicating well are your best guides! So go plan a surprise for your spouse/friend/partner/love interest!
