Some great tips

February 17th, 2009 by Anju

Here are some stories I’ve heard from this past Valentine’s Day. Of course, it’s too late now for Valentine’s, but these are ideas which could be done anytime. In fact, doing them without having a holiday requirement may end up being even more meaningful!

1. Buy a flower, and with the flower get one of those little cards at the florist. Write “HA” on the card, and give it to your girlfriend/spouse.
2. The next day, buy another flower, and get a card to write “PP” on it.
3. Continue on this way, buying one flower a day, and continuing to spell out a message (such as Happy Valentine’s Day) for 11 total days in a row.
4. On the 12th day, when your relationship buddy has already figured out what you’re doing, and is expecting the last flower, surprise her again with bringing a whole new dozen roses.

Idea #2
Think of all the reasons you care about and love your spouse/partner. Write these down on little strips of paper. Then tie them to the wrappers of candies, and they’ll have a sweet and a reminder of how great they are each time they have a sweet. My ambitious friend filled a candy jar with these notes tied to Riesen candy chews, then wrote on the jar “All the Riesens why I Love You!” How good is that?
